As a young brand, Realme once again attained the reputation of launching a smartphone which comes with some of the most dazzling features as well as specifications. Realme has done its best and granted the best of the best features and specifications in Realme 3 Pro in the UK which can only be expected from a flagship smartphone i.e. Honor 20 Pro and Samsung Galaxy A80. At first glance, the overall look and feel of Realme 3 Pro are premium – thanks to its flashy design and a waterdrop-like notch on the front. The back of the handset looks like liquid metal in lightning purple and nitro blue. The key highlights of Realme 3 Pro are related to 4045mAh non-removable battery, dual 15MP + 5MP rear cameras, up to 6GB of RAM, Snapdragon 710 Chipset and IPS LCD based 6.3-inches display. The rest of the details including its pricing and release date are mentioned in our Realme 3 Pro Review below. So, let’s keep going!
Pricing and Availability:
The official Realme 3 Pro release date in the UK was June 5th, 2019 and it’s now available on the company’s official website as well as other well-known stores to buy with immediate effects. In terms of Realme 3 Pro Price in the UK, it set users back £175 for 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard memory whereas 6GB/128GB variant goes for only £219. That seems stunningly exceptional value for money and there is very little else in the smartphone market that can compete with Realme 3 Pro. Maybe, Motorola Moto G7 Power is the biggest rival in terms of price but it’s backed by a lower resolution display, slower processor and doesn’t look as gorgeous as Realme 3 Pro.
Specifications:
Design:
As mentioned above, it looks stunning and dazzling but be mindful that you wouldn’t be getting a flagship-style design as far as the price is concerned. The back panel isn’t made of glass – but the pattern looks still amazing with delicate lines all-encompassing all over the phone from top to bottom. The rear comes in two different colours – Nitro Blue and Lightning Purple. It weighs 172 grams with 156.8 x 74.2 x 8.3 mm dimensions. The left-hand side is covered by volume rockers whereas a power button is available on the right-hand side (accessible easily). The most interesting thing is that it’s lighter and slimmer as compared to Xiaomi’s latest Note smartphone.
Display:
The IPS LCD based screen measures a total of 6.3-inches with a maximum resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels at 409 PPI Density. According to the reports from different online sources, the Realme 3 Pro feels a little warm but not as that bad. And as for brightness, the handset indeed gets bright enough when using indoor and you won’t have any issues with it in other environments. Indirect sunlight, however, struggles a lot more but again, it’s acceptable as far as the price goes.
Camera:
On paper, the Realme 3 Pro comes with a dual rear camera – consists of a 16MP main snapper and secondary 5MP for depth mapping. The front side, on the other hand, is covered with a single 25MP camera that assists you in video calls and selfies. The camera app of Realme 3 is easy to use as you can swipe right and left cycles between photos, videos and portrait modes whereas the app setting menu offer a list of different features i.e. panorama, nightscape, shooting modes and much more. Performance-wise, captures images are quite impressive and the sensors draw a lot of light and reproduce accurate colours.
Onboard Components:
Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 Chipset works as a brain of the handset and to give you super-smooth and glitch-free gaming and multitasking experience, it’s partnered with 4GB/6GB of RAM. For managing a graphical department, it has Adreno 616 GPU. Thus, you get an outstanding performance whether you work on multiple apps simultaneously or play graphics-enriched games i.e. PUBG Mobile or Fortnite. It’s running on Android Pie 9.0 operating system with ColorOS 6 on top and 64GB/128GB of onboard memory let you store a plethora of files, images, videos, and even movies. Most important of all, the storage is expandable further up to 256GB through a microSD card.
Battery:
With a power-efficient chipset and a whopping 4045mAh non-removable battery, the handset has all the mandatory components to get awesome battery life. It’s a better gaming smartphone like Galaxy S10 and Black Shark 2. With medium to heavy use, it lasts all day long and comfortably lasts a second day too with some relatively heavy use. It comes with Oppo’s proprietary VOOC fast charging which means it restores juice from 0-50% in a couple of minutes (most probably in 30 minutes) and 0-100% in an hour and 10 minutes.
