Blur Home Screen Background on iPhone in iOS 16 

To be more precise, iOS 16 allows you to enable the legibility blur on your iPhone home screen. Now, if you are wondering what legibility means, it pertains to readability. When the legibility blur is on, it tends to blur the background of the Home Screen hiding all the subtle things.

  1. First off, open the Settings app on your iPhone running iOS 16 or later.
  2. Scroll down a bit and tap on Wallpaper.

  4. Next up, choose “Customise Current Wallpaper” in the menu that appears from the bottom of the screen. 
  5. Tap on the Legibility Blur button at the bottom right corner of the screen to enable it. Do not forget to tap on Done at the top right corner of the screen to confirm the action. Voila!
